A little breather

Have some time today. Thought I'd post some photos of my Pigeon Lake trip.

The cute little Inn.

The view from our room.

Chocolate, candy, sponge toffee, and wine. What can be better?

The Eco Cafe had such yummy Chai Latte and organic food.

Chai Latte anyone?

We visited this antique store that had stuff galore!

More fabulous antiques.

Jeanie (Android Buttons Blog) found a bag full of awesome, vintage buttons.

We saw these keys everywhere.
Great finds and good times!

Coming together.

The drywall in my kitchen is going up right now! Hurray! Most of the destruction part is almost done. So now for the fun part of seeing things coming together. Now I have to get busy and choose the paint color for the walls of our bathrooms, entrance, and the kitchen.

It's been such a busy summer so far, but it's been great to spend time with my brother in law, his wife and daughter. That little girl is such a cutie! I'm taking lots of pictures of course!

I got back from my retreat at Pigeon Lake a few days ago. I had such a great time. Thanks girls and my awesome husband! I feel super recharged and super happy. I sure needed that! I would totally recommend that place for anyone that want to get away for a few days. When I have more time I'll post up some pictures of my trip.
Now back and everything is so crazy! Our renovations has gone above and beyond what we were expecting. It's taking longer then we expected. It'll be fantastic once everything is done, but right now all I got to say is Ackk! We had to move into our guest/mud room and eat and shower at my in laws place. I'm so glad my in laws are so awesome.
I won't be able to update as often on my blog right now, but keep checking once in a while for my updates on my house renos.

I'm off to a retreat at Pigeon Lake for a few days. Darcy surprised me with this for my birthday which was about a month ago. This will be the first time I'm away from my boys for more then 4 hours. I was at first a bit hesitant but I think I really need to get away and rejuvinate myself. Also it will be nice to get away from all this renovation craziness.

This weekend was the Plamondon's Centennial celebration. It was pretty impressive for a small little town. We didn't get the chance to check out everything but the events we did go to were entertaining. The weather held up yesterday, but today it poured. However, that didn't stop us from enjoying the live music.

Lucius had a blast gathering candy from the parade.

Jeanie (Android Buttons website) had a table at the art & craft tent selling her awesome stamps, cards, and jewelery.

It was so nice to catch up with all the family and friends that came out. Happy 100th Plamondon!!

Seems like there isn`t enough time in the day for my hobbies already. Now to top it off we are going to start on the plumbing and bathroom renovations on our house. I`m so not looking forward to the mess and chaos around my house for a while, but it`s something we really need to do for this old house of ours. So there probably won`t be much updates on my sketching, painting, and sewing for a little while, but until then I will be blogging about the renovations on our house.
