Oh me oh my, I'm a winner!

So last month I entered my plastic bracelet for a plastic fantastic contest over at Living Creatively. And I won!!! Yay! Yay!! Yay!!!

A quick hi and some Plastic Projects.

Just a quick hi. Things been pretty crazy around here. It's end of the school year for Darcy, had a piano recital for my students yesterday(yup, I teach piano too. Only to a few), and putting things together for the Diva Delight this Sunday. The boys had one of those mornings where nap time didn't come soon enough. Thank goodness for nap and quiet time.

Also, thought I would share a few of the Plastic Projects I've made recently.

I'm back!

It's always nice to visit Edmonton. It was nice to see my aunt and uncle, spend some time with family, and hang out with some friends.

Now back to creating and crafting in full force so I can be ready for the Diva Delight coming up in June. My laptop is still down (no printable, poo!), but my awesome friend Nash is fixing it for me. It's great to have tech friends!

Of course I couldn't have gone without doing some sort of craft when I was away. This is what I was working on.

Thought a rice cake plastic bag would make a cute, little, snap button plastic pouch.

The Plastic Project's tag are printed on the back of cereal boxes to continue with the recycling and reusing theme.

My brother is quiting smoking and to help with his cravings he eats candy. I told him to keep all the wrappers so I can use them for my plastic projects. He thought I was crazy. Hahaha! But look how it turned out. Pretty funky and "sweet"!! Sorry, I know, bad pun.

I couldn't sleep lastnight. This was in my head and I just had to make it. A plastic flap pouch with a little, cute plastic chick on the front.

Plastic zipper tote

A plastic zipper tote bag to add to the collection. I also recently created tags for them which are quite "whimsical". Darcy thinks "whimsical" is such a funny word, so I thought I needed to use it. Haha!


I'm off to Edmonton again. This time just me and my boys. Gives the chance for Darcy to clean out our basement without any distractions. We have a lot of garbage from the renovations we did this summer. It's quite the disaster zone. Thank goodness for closed doors.

A plastic shoulder bag I put together lastnight for the St. Paul's Mind Body & Spirit Mini Expo February 27 and 28. I won't be there but my plastic project bags will be! Go have a looksee if you are in the area!!

The plastic bag project

My friend/yoga instructor is opening up her yoga studio with a store that sells and showcases local art and goods. Her and I had this idea of clients coming in and dropping off plastic bags to be turned into usuable items. So, I've been busy fusing and sewing plastic bags into pouches and handbags.
